Operating name: Autolog

Autolog designs, manufactures and installs sawmill process
control and optimisation systems. Since 1987, Autolog has
equiped sawmills throughout North America and Europe. Process
and optimisation systems allow sawmills to increase productivity
and lumber quality while reducing the volume of raw material
required to produce lumber. These systems offer an average
payback of less than one year.
The very nature of our business demands a contemporary outlook.
Our business is built on the particular expertise of highly-
skilled and creative people dedicated to staying on the leading
edge of technology which changes constantly. It demands that we
always have an eye on the future. We realize that simply having
state-of-the-art technology in your mill does not generate
business or profit. The technology has to work for you. It has
to help you meet your objectives. So our view includes a
continued focus on your goals - from the beginning of our task
through to the end.
We believe you have a right to demand accountability for what we
agree our role will be. We have an understanding of the
complexity and expense our contribution represents to your
overall operation. We are keenly aware that often, we are only
one of a whole team you contract in fulfilling a vision. And
that you, in turn, are accountable for the promises we make. It
is a responsibility we take seriously. We make good on our
promises.
Our products are based on the most sophisticated technology. Our
computer engineers and technicians are familiar with all the
capabilities of mill equipment... the needs and characteristics
of mill production. The optimizer's scanner acts as the nerve
ends to the system control. Here, the true measure of the boards
is taken. This is the moment when the decision for routing and
final product performance is taken.
The challenges your company faces are certainly unlike any
other. Our strength lies in addressing the specific challenges
you face. Your work environment. Your specialty products. Your
workforce. Taking all the factors into consideration and
carefully analysing them before making a recommendation. A
recommendation we'll stand by.
When it comes right down to it, what counts is performance on
your mill floor. And no mill offers "perfect" conditions for
equipment operation. We know you can't afford to work out
the "bugs" in a system while your production is down.
Our success depends on never losing sight of thegoals our client
has. That perspective is what our clients feel sets us apart
from the competition. We are not successful unless you are.
