CCUVS is a national change agent promoting the sustained, profitable growth of the Canadian unmanned systems sector. It is a federally registered not-for-profit corporation focusing on civil and commercial applications with three core lines of development: • Awareness and Education

CCUVS manages a portfolio of programmes and projects to meet business needs. A major emphasis is on automated solutions for Integrated Resource Management (IRM), where CCUVS cooperates closely with Canadian centres of excellence and institutions working that sector. Other projects include the application of artificial intelligence to micro and nano systems, intelligent transportation and emergency response.
CCUVS has advanced unmanned aircraft launch capabilities, access to uncongested airspace for civil and commercial unmanned aircraft flight operations and some 300 visual flight rules flying days each year. We also arrange the necessary Special Flight Operation Certificates for clients. We run fixed wing and rotary wing courses for civil government and commercial users covering air regulations and other theory content, radio telephony, system and operational scenario training.
