HFI Pyrotechnics (HFI) is Canada's premier producer and supplier of military quality specialty pyrotechnics products for commercial and military use.
HFI, formerly Hands Fireworks, has provided design, testing and commercialization to products ranging from marine markers, trip flares, smoke grenades and drift indicators on the military side, to specialty pyrotechnics products such as smoke device for war games, smoke pots for heating and air conditioning duct work testing, polar bear scare devices, fish salutes and oil setting tool charges for oil well maintenance. More recently, HFI is getting more involved with non-lethal technology, ranging from projectiles to defense sprays.

HFI Pyrotechnics also produces a low toxicity white smoke grenade which can be used in commercial application. Unlike most commercial products, it may be ignited by a pull wire system.
HFI Pyrotechnics has also created a Groundbomb, which unlike its name is used in several applications where it is hung in trees and used as an weapons effect simulator.
HFI Pyrotechnics has also created a Thunderflash and Diver Recall product which have just been tested after 15 and 25 years shelf life respectively.
