Doran Stewart Oilfield Services (DSOS) is a family owned and operated company that takes pride in the quality of our work, the timeliness in completing our work and in creating value for our clients. We have been in business in Western Canada since our incorporation in 1983, with our head office in Rocky Mountain House area of Alberta, Canada. With our extensive experience in serving the needs of our clients in the three Western provinces, Doran Stewart Oilfield Services have area offices in Grande Prairie and Fort McMurray, Alberta to provide more cost efficient services to those area producers. As community involvement is especially important to the people who own DSOS, it allows us to hire more local people as well as a chance to have a more meaningful relationship on a long term basis in the areas in which we operate.
It is very important to us that we complete our work in a safe and an environmentally friendly fashion. Doran Stewart Oilfield Services manages the staff and equipment necessary to complete approximately 25 million dollars in Canadian funds in annual sales. We are planning on an aggressive, yet controlled growth in each of the next ten years. To facilitate this plan, we are expecting to open three more area offices in the next five years. To achieve this growth DSOS will focus on three critical areas: (1) Strategic Focus
Doran Stewart Oilfield Services (1990) Ltd is a young - growing company with a mission to maintain a high standard of safety, develop strategic client relationships, and remain on the cutting-edge of technology. DSOS has been recognized three times in the last five years as one of the fastest growing companies in Canada by both the Profit 100 magazine and the Canadian Business magazine. This has been achieved by focusing on the three DSOS core business segments: a) pipeline and facility construction
b) oilfield maintenance and roustabout crews
c) civil construction
i) lease construction and abandonment
ii) pipeline removal and reclamation
iii) general oilfield construction (water lift stations,
lakebed caissons)
(2) Core Relationships
In order to be successful, our business requires competitive and progressive partnerships with clientele in the oil and gas industry. Internal core relationships (employer/employee) and external core relationships (engineers, inspectors, field personnel, technology providers, First Nations, etc.) have helped us develop products, improved processes and procedures to keep our operations effective and efficient. In addition, a critical relationship in our growth has been with our financial institution. It has helped us maintain a solid liquid position and provides us with the ability to tackle projects of significant magnitude. To summarize, our goal as stated in our Company Mission is €œto provide our clients with quality and timely work for fair market value so that both our customers and company will continue to thrive and prosper in today€™s competitive marketplace.€?
(3) Technological Progression
Technology is vital to DSOS€™ business strategy. We have worked hard to invest aggressively, yet appropriately, in the key areas of technology which impact our business. One example is integrating wireless technology with a remote time ticket entry program. This program was developed in conjunction with field staff, field inspectors, the accounting department and our technology providers. The Remote Time Ticket Entry software reduces paper costs, data entry and information being recorded twice. Our other technological capabilities include Direct Deposit of Payroll, Electronic Invoices, Wireless High speed Internet connection.
