PHILOSOPHY OF PRACTICE
dysarchitecture is founded, organized, and
managed on the key principle of service of clients. To attain
this critical objective we continually strive for the following: PROJECT SELECTION
We seek to carry out only those projects for which we are
particularly suited by experience, training and staff
availability.
In this way our skills can be applied where they are most
effective.
PRINCIPAL INVOLVEMENT
It is our firm objective and commitment to assign a core team to
each project undertaken. As a firm whose partners and senior
staff have extensive experience, we seek to offer the benefits of
their involvement to our Clients on a continuing basis on each
project.
RECOGNITION OF CLIENT NEEDS
We seek to involve Clients fully with the development of
projects in order to better understand their needs and also to
obtain the benefits of their creative input. We have developed
specific design methodologies to assist in accomplishing this
objective.
We prepare a detailed schedule and time budget prior to
commencing the work. We are thus able to better anticipate our
staff requirements, key decision times and requirements for
approval which are critical to the successfully completion of the
work.
GROWTH AND DIVERSIFICATION
Our firm has grown gradually over time in response to the
challenges and opportunities found in our work. We do not
embrace growth as a goal but rather consciously throttle our
expansion to maintain effective management of projects and to
sustain the level of involvement described above.
Rather than diversify beyond our combined areas of expertise,
we affiliate with other firms having specific skills (such as
transportation consulting, building engineering, civil works,
landscape, graphics, etc.) which can be brought to bear as
required by the particular project.
FIRM MANAGEMENT
We are committed to the strict management of our business
affairs including internal budgeting and scheduling of each
project, and overall financial control. Our controller,
utilizes computer-based recording and reporting systems to
provide timely project status data.
This arrangement allows the senior members of the firm increased
time for their professional practice, in areas of greatest
effectiveness.
