the early fifties. General Electric Canada's isolated phase bus
duct plant, located in St-Augustin, near Québec City, has the
world mandate from its parent company for isolated phase bus duct
and auxiliary equipment since 1980.
As a world-class supplier, our fully integrated plant, which
is ISO-9001-94 certified, has been very active in the isolated
phase bus duct equipment market not only in Canada but also in
the US and international markets. Over the last 20 years we have
been the major supplier of isolated phase bus duct equipment to
the utility market in Canada. Our experience is impressive,
having supplied SEBJ's requirements for most of the James Bay
units, including the largest self cooled bus (28800A) and
disconnect switches (30000A)in the world. As mentionned earlier,
GE Canada's bus duct operation also has a strong experience in
the international market with projects in countries such as
India, Colombia, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Argentina, China and
others.
