Geodat Information Services Limited established itself in 1988
as the first fully integrated remote sensing/geographic
information systems service company in Atlantic Canada. Cost
effectiveness and flexibility of the service is accomplished
by using the most powerful microcomputers and a variety of GIS
image analysis systems, each best suited to specific
applications.
In 1990, Geodat expanded the scope of its business operations
to include software engineering development and GIS
customization. Geodat staff includes system analysts, and
programmers. Value added services represent a dominant
portion of Geodat's current activities. A number of new
applications of remote sensing, GIS and imaging techniques
have been developed. Approximately 80% of Geodat's work is
represented by research and development services to the
private sector, directly applied to client-specific
applications.
Geodat utilizes the latest in satellite/airborne image
analysis and geographic information system technology to
provide solutions to problems in: land use monitoring and planning
environmental assessment and monitoring
geological surveying and mineral exploration.
SERVICES PROVIDED
Geodat's services include remote sensing, utilizing various
satellite data, NOAA, LANDSATTM, SPOT, ESRI, and airborne
systems, C-SAR, MEIS, FLI and MSS data. The company's image
analysis system is fully integrated with SPANS, PAMAP,
ARC/INFO and CARIS geographic information systems, providing
powerful mapping and modeling services. Geodat also provides
a full range of consulting and training services in these
advanced technologies. As well, customized GIS-IAS systems to
suit clients' needs are available. All services are provided
from the firm's base in Fredericton at extremely competitive
rates. Geodat is capable of providing the technical expertise
for these high technology services.

the United States of America, as well as projects throughout

sectors responsible for monitoring and mapping programs.

partners for projects in various countries.
