PRODUCT AND COMPANY PROFILE: Hi-Kalibre Equipment Ltd., a leader in valve design and manufacturing, is a private Canadian company founded in January of 1986. Based in Edmonton, Alberta, Hi-Kalibre Equipment manufactures and services oilfield blowout prevention equipment used by drilling contractors, service rig contractors, and rental companies world wide. Typical blow-out equipment manufactured and serviced by Hi-Kalibre includes tubing safety valves, upper and lower kelly valves, our patented top drive dual-ball valves and actuators, inside BOP's, drop in retrievable check valves, ball valves, manifolds, inline check valves, gate valves, chokes, and pressure regulators. Hi-Kalibre currently operates out of two Edmonton locations and employees a full time staff of over 100 employees. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality product at a competitive price, designed to work in the field hassle free. We are an ISO 9001 Certified Engineering and Manufacturing facility. Our products are Canadian made to extremely high quality standards and are competitively priced. All of our equipment is designed to be very rugged and requires very little maintenance, a critical requirement in these applications. Hi-Kalibre Equipment also has an extensive traceability program in order to better serve our customers needs. R - D is an important part of Hi-Kalibre's success, and constant innovation and improvements form a basis of our daily operations. Modern 3-D CAD and FEA programs are the backbone of our R - D department combined with an extensive working knowledge of our products and the requirements of their use. Some of Hi-Kalibre's major clients are Tesco Corporation, NOV, Nabors Industries, Precision Drilling, Command Energy, Ensign Drilling, Weatherford, Trinidad Drilling, Fluid Design, PSI Rentals and Savanah Energy.
CURRENT GEOGRAPHIC MARKETING ACTIVITY: Hi-Kalibre Equipment is used extensively in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and the United States. We are starting to get more exposure to over-seas sales through supply stores, existing customers, and new customers manufacturing drilling equipment. Our products are now used all over the world in many demanding applications.
GEOGRAPHIC MARKETING PRIORITES/MARKETING STRATEGIES: Hi-Kalibre Equipment will continue to service and expand our North American markets through existing suppliers as well as continuing to expand our network of distributors and authorized service locations. Hi-Kalibre would like to expand its international sales exposure by creating strong working relationships with authorized agents in other markets. Strong potential has been shown for Europe, Middle East, Far East, as well as South America. Hi-Kalibre has attended several oil shows such as the National Petroleum Show in Calgary, and OTC in Houston, but has not actively displayed our products and services in any of these shows. Hi-Kalibre Equipment would welcome suggestions regarding other shows, possible authorized agents, or perspective suppliers and/or customers located in some of these potential markets.
