Inversa Systems Ltd (Inversa) is a spin-off of the Laboratory of Threat Material Detection (LTMD) at the University of New Brunswick (UNB) in Fredericton. The company was started in 2004 with a sole focus of commercializing the Deep Backscatter Tomography (DBT) technique that is being developed at UNB. Once developed, the DBT technique will provide a clear and non-intrusive view into objects while only requiring a single side of access. This technology will be used for specific applications like inspecting large diameter steam pipes, catalytic crackers, pressure vessels etc.
