ISI combines the individual expertise of each of the companies
under one management offering clients the best shipbuilding,
offshore fabrication, ship repair and engineering services on the
Atlantic seaboard. The group's accessible locations are second
to none on the East Coast. Extensive investment in new facilities
and equipment over the past five years ensures that our yards are
among the most efficient in North America.
The group is supported by its engineering component - Fleetway
Inc. with locations in Halifax and Ottawa and by its quality
assurance consultants, Atlantic Quality - Technical Services,
located in Saint John.
SAINT JOHN SHIPBUILDING
A Division of Irving Shipbuilding Inc.
Saint John Shipbuilding is one of North America's most modern and
progressive shipyards. Over the past 75 years, Saint John
Shipbuilding has designed, engineered and constructed an
impressive range of military and commercial vessels up to Panamax
size, as well as complex structures for the industrial and
offshore sectors.
Work is progressing steadily on two 17,250t Vessel Kent Line
Container Ships using a construction approach which involves
fabricating very large modules (up to 1 000t) which are
extensively outfitted.
HALIFAX SHIPYARD
A Division of Irving Shipbuilding Inc.
Over the last few years Halifax Shipyard facilities have been
extensively modernized. Upgrades include expansion of the
assembly hall to accommodate the joining and erection of
pre-outfitted sub-assemblies. The lifting facilities, slipways,
wharfage and waterfront have also been refurbished.
EAST ISLE SHIPYARD
A Division of Irving Shipbuilding Inc.
Since it was founded in 1964, East Isle Shipyard has gained a
reputation for expertise in building vessels for small to
medium-sized applications. Upgraded shipyard facilities have
guaranteed East Isle Shipyard's place as a leader in the ``work
boat`` building business.
East Isle Shipyard is currently constructing a series of
Z-Drive Reverse Tractor Tugs. The yard has delivered 20 tugs worldwide.

Halifax Shipyard is a key ship repair and conversion facility
with the Irving Shipbuilding Inc. group. Together with
Shelburne Ship Repair and Steel - Engine
Products ISI offers a full range of marine repair and refit
services from basic blast and paint, engine overhaul, shafting
and structural modifications, minor welding to major refits and
conversions.
