Operating name: iSwarmGRC

iSwarmGRCâ„¢ Version 2.0 is an on-line, pay-as-you-go (software as a service) technology, that enables corporate governance, risk and compliance management in one service. It advances business intelligence solutions through the use of swarm intelligence. SwarmGRC supplies collective collaboration, on-line, to everyone
in an organization. iSwarmGRC delivers cost-savings, and supports proof of operating effectiveness of internal controls. iSwarmGRC is risk-agnostic, meaning it works with any regulation or business risks, including merger and acquistions, or product launches. It delivers strong quantifiable calculations to justify managements' position to audit or supervisory bodies. In addition, regulatory overlap management ensures that multiple requirements does not mean redundant efforts. Re-purposing of existing programs is a key specialization.

Unique Applications: "As with many companies, the expectation was that this was to be an unduly onerous, time consuming and costly exercise. However, the methodology and streamlined approachÂ…was clearly different."
€” VP, Finance, International Software Technology Company
In 2006, a leading global provider of enterprise software solutions, listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, sought assistance to evaluate the Company's internal controls over financial reporting to comply with securities regulations. They partnered with compliance expert, Susan Smith, who introduced them to a beta-version of the core components used in iSwarmGRC.
Including the identification of financial and IT risks and controls, the scope covered offices in Canada, U.K. and the U.S.. Today, the core components manage regulatory compliance for all of the company's businesses. The company achieved a 50% reduction in effort, by eliminating redundancy and overcompensating controls. In addition to achieving compliance to Bill 198, the core components made it easy to prepare for compliance with the upcoming Canadian Securities Administrations' NI 52-109.

Success Stories: "...And then we came across this method, which was completely the polar opposite of the other two approaches - for a couple of reasons. One is it's so much more practical. It's a risk-based approach rather than a controlled based approach. And it's a whole different paradigm of how to look at the problem. And much more organized, much more efficient, more prescriptive."
€” CIO, International Asset Management Company
In 2004, a world-wide leader in Asset Management, listed on the New York and Toronto Stock Exchanges, found their efforts to prepare for audit of GCCs (General Computer Controls) for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance had stalled. Seeking a more common-sense approach they partnered with compliance expert, Susan Smith, who introduced them to a beta-version of the core components used in iSwarmGRC to start their projects.
The scope included offices in New York, London, Vancouver, and three sites in Toronto. Today, those key components are now used to provide all of the company's businesses with compliance services. The savings are estimated to be $350 – 500K annually. In addition to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), the core components have been easily transferred to manage regulatory compliance required by PCI and Bill 198 compliance. Future plans include the management of HIPAA and PIPEDA requirements. For more go to: http://iswarmsolutions.com/info/casestudies.asp
