Operating name: Kbr

KBR is a Canadian supplier of construction, turnaround and fabrication services to the refining, petrochemical, power, mining, and pulp and paper industries. As one of Canada€™s most prestigious construction companies, we are committed to health, safety and environment (HSE) practices and have over half a century of experience implementing safe, on time, quality projects that are within client cost objectives. It is our ability to match client expectations and perform against the toughest deadlines that makes KBR one of Canada€™s leading construction contractors.
Our full range of services includes construction, construction management, turnaround, shutdown, outage, pipe fabrication, and modular assembly. Our plant services include: startup; commissioning and procurement; facility services; small capital projects; supplemental maintenance; total maintenance management; reliability; supply chain solutions; and electrical, instrumentation and turnaround solutions. We have a proven track record of delivering successful EPC services and differentiated technology offerings through our global presence. KBR has a legacy of experience executing most of the major energy and chemicals-driven projects in Alberta.
Our pipe fabrication facility in Edmonton generates approximately 50,000 weld diameter inches (WDI) per month on a one-shift basis, which makes it one of the largest and most technically-advanced in Canada. This single facility is equipped to provide fabrication, stress relieving, and hydro-testing. Combining both field construction and shop fabrication capabilities, we have fabricated and assembled over 1,500 process plant modules during the last 30 years. We specialize in pre-fabricated pipe spools, manifolds, pipe-sized vessels and stacks, radiant and convection sections of process heaters, and furnaces. Incorporating the latest in welding technology, material management and quality control process, KBR offers clients results that stem from outstanding safety performance and best practices.
Construction is seamless when dealing with our start-up, commissioning, and procurement experts. We have the local knowledge, negotiating power, and flexibility to match materials and services to our client€™s vision, cost, and schedule needs; regardless of contract size. Our highly trained construction personnel are as experienced with debottlenecking facilities as they are with grassroots and brownfield capital projects. The majority of our site construction activities are performed on a direct hire basis and our contracted specialists can perform piping, welding, modular assembly, instrumentation, painting, fireproofing, structural steel or electrical equipment installations and more.
KBR Canada Ltd has been a strong participant in the construction of most of the major projects in Western Canada, including: • Shell Canada€™s SPG Upgrader Project Turnaround in Scotford (2005-2006)
• Petro-Canada Products€™ Sulphur in Gas Project in Edmonton (2002-2004)
