Lang Motors Ltd. is a progressive thinking, environmentally friendly,
Canadian business venture dedicated to the promotion and sales of the new zero-emission vehicles (ZEV). This will include a variety of ZEV and Neighborhood Electric Vehicles (NEV).
Our main objective is to attain and maintain a position as the primary
source of ZEV, first in Vancouver, then across Canada. Lang Motors
intends to increase the use of ZEV in all areas of vehicular
transportation, from moving people to moving goods.
Our marketing strategy is to adopt innovative techniques with the
focus on youth, government, and business. We have a natural advantage of being the innovators, but another obvious campaign would be to target the green or environmental community. We see a real opportunity in developing a campaign to move mainstream where we will uses terms around style and class, and show that our customers are smart, popular, energetic, responsible, and generally - "with it."
We create and promote 9 "Electric Avenues" zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) Dealerships located across Canada: Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, and Halifax. This opens up the door for other potential "Electric" cities in Canada to uniquely position themselves as regional leaders in an aspect of sustainable transportation. Canada currently does not have a dealership dedicated to ZEV. Lang Motors Ltd. aims to fill this void.

"We Will Thank Denis Someday - Denis Lang has been relentless in his quest to bring the electric car to Canada. I have witnessed the heartaches and frustration that he has endured in the past few years, and yet he persists because he believes in his goal. One day, all British Columbians will thank him for that." - Francis Mak, Supervisor, Translink (Metro Vancouver, BC transportation authority)

Dear Mr. Clifford: In late October, I had an opportunity to meet with Mr. Denis Lang who appears to be very knowledgeable about the world of zero-emission electric vehicles. While I understand that Mr. Lang is not directly associated with your corporate entity at the moment, he nevertheless took the opportunity to tell me about your company which, I must admit, I was unaware of before my discussion with Denis. Because of my Quebec connection (I work for a small commercial office of the Quebec Government based in Vancouver, B.C.), I was particularly interested to learn that, while your head office is located in Ontario, the ZENN vehicles are currently maufactured in
St-Jerôme, Quebec.
In this respect, it is obvious that the future success of your company will undoubtedly have positive repercussions in Quebec as well and, as such, I wanted to let you know that, if we can help, it would be my pleasure to assist you in pursuing your market penetration plan for western Canada.
Mr. Lang pointed out that B.C. is currently the only Canadian province where these types of vehicles are allowed to be driven on the road and therefore, I am assuming that an important part of your development strategy will be to seek better transportation policies in various provincial jurisdictions. Hopefully, we can assist you in achieving this goal.
My meeting with Mr. Lang was very insightful and it is hard not to share his devotion, belief and enthusiasm when it comes to the future of this innovative technology and derived products. Frankly, he comes across as a visionary for the market trends associated with electric-powered vehicles and, regardless of his current business alliances, certainly acts as an ambassador for the technology!
I am encouraged to learn that environmentally friendly solutions are being developed right here in Canada and I want to commend you for your business implication in this area. I certainly wish you success in this venture.
Regards,
Andre Gour
Commercial Officer

Dear ___________,
I write concerning the lack of electric mobility in Vancouver, BC, and across Canada.
The urgent need for more energy efficient and non-polluting
transportation demands new approaches and creativity.
Currently, the federal Ministry of Transportation will not allow
electric cars on our roads. I strongly urge you, as ______________, to take the initiative to correct the situation, so that we can have electric cars approved in Canada, similar to the way the Federal and local governments have done throughout the United States.
With the debate about climate change over, we now need to focus on innovative and sustainable transportation options.
I recently met with Denis Lang, of Lang Motors in Vancouver. Mr. Lang is trying to establish nine electric car dealerships across Canada. We need a change in federal legislation to make this possible so these and similar sustainable vehicles can operate in our communities.
As the congestion in our cities grows, we need to encourage the widest possible range of transportation innovations. The economic development opportunities for Canada are huge if we support and invest in sustainable transportation initiatives.
I look forward to hearing from you on what actions you are taking to get sustainable, electric vehicles onto Canadian roads.
Sincerely,
Gregor Robertson, MLA

The Electric Car Is Coming To Our Cities
Lang Motors wants to help drivers make healthy commute choices.

In mid April just as I was working out parking details for my fee-simple rowhouse project on Cambie Street in Vancouver, Denis Lang called me for a coffee. Denis is the owner of Lang Motors in Vancouver and he is trying to establish nine electric car dealerships across Canada. His Website is http://www.langmotors.ca/. He is having major regulatory problems with the Federal Ministry of Transportation which won't allow electric cars on our roads. It is time the Ministry re-looked at this issue, if not because we need more energy efficient and non-polluting transportation, but because global warming and "peak oil" demand new approaches and creativity.
While some people are focused on hopes for new electric car technology, others realize we can also make a difference right now with a change in perspective and priorities. Most States in the United States have legislation allowing Neighborhood Electric Vehicles on roads. However, State legislators left it to municipalities to designate specific roads.
