Manta Consulting, a division of Halogen Software Inc., has been
providing online solutions since 1989. Manta has grown into one
of Canada's Premiere suppliers of Notes/Domino-based services
and solutions and is well positioned to support clients as they
strategically decide how to best leverage their investments in
Notes / Domino in a market where Lotus is owned by IBM and
increasingly integrated with Websphere and DB2. Manta helps
clients understand where pure Domino application development
suffices and where migration to, or integration with, another
platform that better supports transactional services, more
generic universal languages and platforms such as Java and J2EE
may be necessary. Manta's diversified offerings include other
web platforms and enterprise applications, particularly in the
area of Enterprise Document and Records Management (EDRMS) and
Information Management.
Manta Consulting is a leader in client satisfaction. It is our
mandate to develop and deliver leading edge solutions to our
clients in a professional and timely fashion.

Manta's expertise spans all levels and facets of software
development. We have successfully completed numerous
engagements, which include the full project life cycle: Project Management, Analysis, System and Application
Architecture, Development, Quality Assurance and Implementation
Manta's long standing background as a collaborative software
developer reflects favorably in the approach we take to all our
projects. Involving the clients in every step of the way ensures
proper knowledge transfer in addition to a complete and thorough
understanding of the requirements. Our ability to leverage
current environments in order to move forward with newer, more
appropriate solutions has been appreciated by many clients.
EDRMS Practice
Manta has years of experience in building EDRMS/IM systems
including a wide variety of document management, records
management and information management projects. As a component
of its new EDRMS practice, Manta has identified technologies
that together make a robust EDRMS solution based on Domino.Doc: They are IBM's Records Manager solution (formerly Tarian
eRecords), a software solution that enables organizations to
Records-enable any repository they have, and Correlate's K-Map
which enables users to make knowledge maps and process templates
of documents stored anywhere including Domino.Doc so that people
can easily work with and share groups of documents.
Manta as a long standing IBM/Lotus business partner, and
recognizing the need for a full Records Management solution that
is appropriately integrated with IBM/Lotus products signed a
partnership agreement with Tarian Software before IBM bought
them. Knowing that this records solution was well suited to IBM
customers, because it could Records-enable any of their
repositories, giving a flexibility to how RM solutions could be
architected. A strong complement both to Domino.Doc and the
Records Manager solution is Correlates's K-Map, a tool which
greatly enhances the ease with which users can access, organize
and share their documents and records. With these tools and
based on the success of Manta's projects to date, Manta is
moving to the forefront of IBM/Lotus's EDRMS solutions, helping
partners and clients to grasp the "big picture" of the required
business solutions and the integrated tool sets that can best
fulfill those requirements.
Manta today stands ready to enable clients to move beyond
stovepiped projects to true enterprise solutions with a solid
grounding in business and functional requirements, IM, IT and
Web Presence/Interaction concerns. We are able to assist in: business requirements analysis including interviews, focus
groups, etc., functional requirements analysis including
legislation and policy analysis, technical architecture,
information architecture, tool evaluation and selection
including the use of Manta's own lab facilities, prototype,
pilot and implementation including planning, resourcing,
integration, customization, training, etc.
