Unique Applications: Prodomax€™s application focus is based on internal
engineering and manufacturing strengths, in
conjunction with an array of expertise covering
several types of manufacturing processes.
Manufacturing Applications: Prodomax€™s application segments have been created
by dedicating selling and application engineering
resources for both assembly and welding
automation. While welding applications are
predominately generated by the automotive
environments, assembly applications involve
processes used to produce components and products
found in automotive as well as non-automotive
environments.
The application segments are outlined as follows: 1. Automated Assembly Systems
Prodomax produces complete turnkey assembly
systems for a variety of industries. An
increasing number are employed in the fields of
electronics, plastics, medical and pharmaceutical
as well as consumer goods. Each of these
systems can be equipped with rotary or linear
transfer and conveyor systems, programmable pick
and place arms, vibratory product orientation
tooling, robotic work cells and systems and
special purpose assembly tooling. All systems
integrate automated, robotic and manual
workstations through PLC or computer control.
2. Automated Welding Systems
Prodomax designs and produces a complete range of
welding systems from semi-automatic, single-
station machines to fully automated, multi-cell
lines with automatic part transfer. Systems
manufactured include dedicated and robotic
systems for M.I.G. - resistance welding, laser
cutting and welding, as well as ultrasonic
systems for plastics, metal sheet and wire
welding. Our welding systems perform high
volume, accurate and repetitive work both on
ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
3. Machining Systems
Since 1989, Prodomax has continuously refined its
multi-axis/multi-spindle machining systems
product line to meet the quality and reliability
demands of the cast aluminum, iron and steel
component producing industry. Prodomax machining
systems are custom designed and manufactured to
incorporate the latest in metal cutting
techniques, CNC controls, automatic part transfer
and robotic load/unload features. Our multi-
station rotary transfer machining systems offer
the advantages of reduced floor space, faster
cycle times, reduced number of operators and on-
line integration of assembly processes.
4. Robotic and Laser Cutting Systems
Prodomax designs and produces a complete range of
laser processing systems. We have extensive
experience with integrating various lasers and
robots for laser cutting stamped and hydroformed
components. In addition, we have experience in
integrating lasers for welding multiple
automotive components.
5. General Robotics and Material Handling
Systems
Prodomax applications may also include robotic
and dedicated pick-and-place units for material
handling functions in order to reduce labour
intensive operations.
