Overview/Description The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the improvement of the health status of the population of Yemen, especially of the poorest segments with particular emphasis to improve the access of women to health services.
Activities/Deliverables The contractual basis for the audit is art 24 of the Financing Agreement signed on July 2004 between the EC and the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation of the Republic of Yemen. The financial and contractual audit was carried out between 20th – 26th November 2007 at the office of the PMU in Sana€™a, National Population Council in Sana€™a, Social Development Fund in Sana€™a, and the Project€™s Offices in both governorates Taiz and Lahj.

Overview/Description The purpose of this consultancy was to assess the adopted Personnel Management system in comparison to HRM systems in terms of procedures and competencies, the Culture and the systems linkages to business orientation
To provide recommendations and a work plan to upgrade the personnel department to an HRD department in stages and with suggested time frame.
Activities/Deliverables Report consisted of four sections as per the four pillars of HR management. Data collected qualitatively and quantitatively. The final part of the report was recommendations, workplan and time schedule.

Overview /Description NHF is to identify and establish an appropriate microfinance project structure and Governance with maximum cost efficiency as per the MF practices. .Through the help of consultant a separate subsidiary with a separate board of directors was created with an independent system of governance, policies and procedures that are based on the needs of sustainable microfinance institutions and culturally sensitive.
Activities/Deliverables The purpose of this consultancy is to provide support for NHF to establish an independent local Microfinance institution capable of providing sustainable financial services to poor Micro entrepreneurs. The consultancy involved start-up of the microfinance project, including recruitment and training of management staff, office set-up, finalization of the target locations, finalization of loan terms and procedures, establishment of management information systems and reporting procedures, and training of loan officers.
