owned firm that was established in 1971. In 1983 the "Ocean
Systems Group" was formed within Spectrum, initially to provide
engineering support to the Canadian Navy's towed sonar systems.

In 1997 a new chapter began when Odim Holding A.s of Ulstenivik,
Norway, acquired the Ocean Systems Group. Odim is a
multi-national organization involved in products and systems for
oil exploration and production, fish processing, metal
fabrication and hydraulics. Odim A.s is the leading winch system
supplier to the seismic exploration market.
Together, Spectrum and Odim's products are notably
complementary, and the two combine to offer "end-to-end" cable
handling and towed system solutions. This total capability
encompasses a range of winch systems, tow points, tow blocks,
faired cables, towed vanes and sonar bodies, and other marine
equipment and services.

fabrication process. Production staff then focuses on final
assembly and acceptance test in Spectrum's purpose-built
manufacturing facility.
An experienced technical support network with MIL-SPEC
or commercial documentation capabilities is in place, as
well as field service and spares provisioning.
