The Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre (SSMIC), founded in 1999, is a catalyst for growth in the information technology (IT) and knowledge based sectors for economic development in the city and Algoma District.
We work closely with community partners to enhance and improve opportunities.
The Innovation Centre is focused on three core areas: 1) Business Incubation: to encourage the establishment and growth of technology start-ups;
