These assessments, or audits, were of a qualitative (Phase 1) and /or a quantitative (Phase II) nature, involving an assessment of the environmental condition of the real property (i.e. in terms of solid/hazardous waste management, fuel/chemical storage, soil/groundwater contamination, air emissions, aboveground and underground storage tanks, asbestos, lead, PCB, ureaformaldehyde foam insulation, etc., as applicable), and an assessment of the environmental impact of operations conducted presently, or in the past, on the property by its occupants/tenants.
In order for clients to be certain that site assessments or operational audits conducted by the firm are fair and unbiased, Sendex does not hold a financial interest in any analytical laboratory or operate a remediation design division which may otherwise create potential conflicts of interest. Sendex dedicates its specific expertise and advisory skills to the provision of a high quality "value added" service that squarely addresses each client's business objective in commissioning the work.
Sendex clients benefit from our in-depth technical engineering, hydrogeological, and health and safety expertise, and our forensic approach to each assignment, gaining access to our continually expanding body of experience in dealing with regulators, bankers, lawyers, and senior business executives in a variety of environmental liability-prone situations. Aside from technical proficiency, Sendex is particularly adept at situational management of environmental issues over a complete range of circumstances, assisting in acquisitions, insolvency situations, achieving regulatory compliance, meeting financing or underwriting requirements, performing operational reviews, and other assignments. Sendex is frequently called upon to conduct peer reviews of the work of other firms, and also accepts assignments to perform remediation contract administration and inspection services, in order to obtain the best value for clients that have clean up requirements.
