Stantec Consulting International Ltd. (SCIL) traces its origins to the founding of Stanley Associates Engineering Ltd. in 1954. This original company evolved into Stantec Consulting Ltd., which currently employs nearly 4,000 people operating from over 40 offices in North America and World Wide. EFSOP ¡V EXPERT FURNACE SYSTEM OPTIMIZATION PROCESS
EFSOP is a fundamental change in the operating philosophy of the
Direct Evacuation System used by Electric Arc Furnaces around
the world. EFSOP uses state-of-the-art gas analysis combined
with process data acquisition and model based control to
optimize operation of EAF steelmaking operations.
The Goodfellow EFSOP technology is the first on-line gas
analysis system in the world that optimizes EAF combustion on a
continuous basis in a production plant. It has been
successfully applied in several steel plants and is quickly
being accepted by steelmakers on a world-wide basis. Based on
that experience, steel mill operators can be assured that the
savings are real and their people or plant are not put at risk.
