Surface ColorStyle proprietary system allows you to choose from a limitless selection of glass in rich, brilliant colors for any vertical or horizontal design application (interior and exterior). Virtually any Pantone color can be permanently bonded onto any thickness or size of glass substrate, including color free glass, acid etch and more.
Surface Products Inc. manufactures performance decorative coatings for glass substrates. The proprietary Surface ColorSystem developed by our partner company, Grosvenor Pty of Sydney, Australia, allows for the application of brilliant coatings with a molecular bonding to the glass.
Responding to the boom in popularity for decorative glass in the late 1980€™s, Grosvenor Pty became the leader in Australia supplying decorative glass finishes for large-scale commercial and residential applications. Responding to the ever-increasing wave of demand from architects - designers, a wider range of decorative finishes was formulated and thoroughly tested for application to glass. These finishes range from opaque to translucent in an unlimited range of colors.
In 1993 Grosvenor ColorSystem caught the attention of Saint Gobain, one of the largest glass companies in the world. Saint Gobain, fascinated by the quality, appearance, durability and versatility of the decorative products, and following extensive testing of their own, scooped the distribution rights for Grosvenor products for all of Europe.
The ColorSystem product range is based on an epoxy urethane coating utilizing a ‘cold fusion€™ process. This process allows you a safe, efficient and permanent means of adding an unlimited range of vibrant color to virtually any type of architectural glass. Color vastly increases the design possibilities of architectural glass in commercial and residential applications. Ideal for both interior and exterior glass applications, the coating has been used successfully for years and can be incorporated with tempered or laminated glass (PVB or Resin method) and can replace etched and sandblasted glass for a much livelier effect and without the inherent maintenance problems. Textured glass can even be reproduced in some forms.
Vast expenditures have been invested in developing and marketing Grosvenor ColorSystem products throughout Europe and Asia and now are available to you through Surface Products Inc.
The Surface ColorSystem process produces a product offering outstanding performance in the areas of appearance, weathering, adhesion, and colorfastness. Extensive laboratory testing in conjunction with hundreds of projects supplied in interior and exterior applications ensures a high degree of confidence in Surface products and creates a value added, finished product that is both highly functional and stunning.
Standard color formulas are included and custom colors can be easily matched. While the Pantone color system provides a wide array of colors from which to choose, any color can be created. Many special effects can also be created only limited by one€™s imagination.
