UPMACS Communications Inc. specializes in the designing, building
and installing of monitor and control equipment for satellite
earth stations. We have developed a specialized software program
called UPMACS User Programmable Monitor and Control Software. We
have a Web site (home page) at: http://www.upmacs.com.
Our web site gives a detailed information on our company.
Upmacs Communications was formerly known as Pointe-Claire
Electronics, but the name was changed to UPMACS Communications to
better reflect the type of operations we are involved in.
Company History
Pointe-Claire Electronics Ltd., now known as UPMACS
Communications Inc., started operations on January 22, 1976 as a
registered company and was initially engaged in the repair and
servicing of industrial and consumer electronics. Federal
Incorporation came in September of 1978.
Experience in the field of Satellite Earth Station technology and
the operational requirements of Earth Stations led to the design
and manufacture of monitor and control (M.A.C.) equipment for
Teleglobe Canada and Telesat Canada.
In addition to M.A.C. equipment, UPMACS Communications Inc. has
produced audio and video switching equipment, In distribution
equipment, 3.8 GHz - 4.2 GHz Line Amplifiers with protective
switching and interlock units for Antenna Radiating safety.
Taking advantage of the rapid development in microcomputers,
UPMACS Communications Inc. computerized M.A.C. equipment for
protective switching of Earth Station transmitters and receivers
adding remote M.A.C. abilities.
Our company policy of giving priority to customer satisfaction
has led to equipment design and software that give problem-free
operation.
UPMACS Communications Today
We now concentrate on developing software for satellite earth
stations, but still produce various components that perform
functions related to this field. Our biggest success was the
