Wanuskewin Heritage Park is a National Historic Site that celebrates the history and cultures of the Northern and Plains First Nations. Countless generations came here to this sheltered valley to hunt bison, gather food and herbs, share their stories, and celebrate life through song and dance. Sitting high above the Opimihaw Creek and the mighty South Saskatchewan River beyond, our award-winning, architecturally-unique Visitor Centre is the gateway to three hundred and sixty acres of scenic trails, archaeological digs and interpretive sites. The Visitor Centre contains an art gallery, gift shop, theatre, exhibit hall, restaurant and meeting facilities.
