My experience at Sphere College has been very gracious. It is inspiring to watch students converse back and forth in English and in French. While writing a major paper in philosophy with a presentation in front of the class, the marking rubric may jointly assist the rubric of the English or French language class as well. This is what is so great at Sphere, every effort is recognized. Multiple opportunities are provided to integrate the knowledge and skills across the curriculum, whether it is bringing an outing or outdoor activity into the classroom as for the advanced sciences. These applications make it interesting and real, allowing freedom for all learning styles. We just don’t learn in a classroom from a book, we learn from everywhere and everything. Mme is passionate about her school but more so about her students. I have observed her efforts in helping each student be their best, shine, be happy, confident and become the person they dream to be. One of the keys of success is largely due to Sphere’s reinforcement of its own policies and those of the Ontario Ministry of Education for Private Schools. I have had the privilege to be present during one of the Ministry’s regular inspections where they observed teaching styles, staff preparedness and reviewed present and past student’s work. An ongoing life skill incorporated at Sphere and cherished by all personnel is the respect of self and of others. There is zero tolerance for bullying, including cyber-bullying and self-bullying. These are all taken extremely seriously. It saddens me to read Miss Ashley’s review. Whether you’re the giver or the receiver of bullying there is suffering for both the giver and the receiver. We can feel the suffering. As difficult as it is to move forward through our suffering one needs to learn compassion towards all sufferers. “The best schools help kids reach their full potential” definitely fits the profile of Sphere College Marie-Claire B, R.N, BScN • School Nurse • Educator, USA and Canada

A lifetime nightmare. Disliked me to the fullest extent - publicly punished me and harassed me even for some things completely not school-related. A certain degree of favouratism was shown to some students and dislike of others. Barely spent any time in the classroom, celebrating birthdays or observing nature would often take up a full two afternoons a week with no academics at that time. 10 courses were taken per year, but some credits were obviously illegal as there was definately not enough time required by the ministry put into each of them. Work material was extremely easy and poorly laid out in terms of instructions, material was often irrelevant to the course at all. I asked for some artwork back but was denied as apparently it has to be kept for 5 years as per the ministry. I know this is false as I now get all my artwork back at the end of the year at my public school - she just disliked me that much. Often yelled at me in front of others and would patrol around with hateful stares. Paid an average-going tuition fee for the education and at the end of the year was suspended for supposedly "harassing" one of her favourite students who put on a tear show - she was the one harassing me!! Decided I was fed up and left - absolutely no compensation was given, not even partial credits that I had started to earn that year. When I later called them to retrieve rain boots that she had said she put away in storage for the winter and told to call in spring, she claimed they were "not there", when they had probably been given as a cute gift to a new student. Never did get the artwork back either. Several times there I had felt sick from the negative treatment I was given and so coldy unwanted as she had turned everyone there against me. Often I was excluded from things too, and she did not care one bit to address it. All in all, worst experience of my life. Worst teacher ever. A cruel, nasty woman of a teacher. Also had a very snobbishly high opinion of herself. A mistake I’ll only make once.
