Operating since 1981, The Airborne Sensing Corporation has
been involved in a variety of aerial photographic survey and
photo finishing projects. Since its inception, the company
has conducted aerial watershed studies, forest inventory
surveys, wildlife studies, water quality surveys, colour
infrared environmental studies, and mining exploration and
land surveys.
Airborne Sensing's internationally experienced and
multi-lingual aircrew and multi-purpose aircraft are prepared
to respond, sometimes within hours, to any flying mission.
From its base of operations in Toronto the company has
performed survey missions with its three modified twin engined aircraft across North America and the Caribbean.
We use the latest in digital and film large format sensors and positioning equipment. Our surveys include not only airborne image data acquisition, but also ground data acquisition and image processing.
In addition, Airborne Sensing has invested considerable sums
in applied research resulting in the creation of: Ontario's
first colour aerial photofinishing facility; one of the first
applications of Global Positioning Systems technology in
aerial photogrammetry (both for flight management as well as
aerotriangulation); and products which have consistently met
and exceeded Federal Government standards.
In the past 25 years Airborne Sensing has developed from a one
person sole proprietorship to a team of twelve permanent staff
as well as part-time air crew and office staff.
The firm's aircraft and crew have traveled as far west as
the Pacific Coast east to the Atlantic provinces and
Bermuda, north to Frobisher Bay and south to Aruba N.A. To
minimize time over target and produce fast turn around time on
each and every project, Airborne Sensing has put together a
team of individuals who have extensive expertise in their
career areas.
Airborne Sensing's well trained and highly skilled staff are
qualified to produce the highest quality aerial survey, air
photo-finishing and digital image processing products.
Airborne Sensing has created a photo lab that uses the latest
technology to deliver products which have consistently met and
exceeded Federal Government standards.
