executives discover and model the half-dozen things that the

critical assumptions made by execs and which need/can be
monitored. For each CSF what are day-to-day decisions middle mgmt
must make (critical decision set - CDSs)- which can be
feasibly automated. For each CSF, what are the critical business
processes (CBPs) that deliver this value. (inside-out model)
o what are the 'use cases' of the enterprise in external party's
eyes (customers, suppliers, regulators....)

o For all of above what are the priorities? Many techniques to do
this.
o For prioritized elements in above what are the
data/information/knowledge components that must interact to

assumption? These MUST be architected for reuse!
o How to migrate to the new vision in as much detail as required.

warehouse staging area, pilot project...
- target is to maximize short-term benefits as are
incrementally moving to new environment.
o Mentor business, IT staff to understand the new 'model of the
business' and how to implement to achieve multiples in
productivity of information and knowledge workers.
