InterSCInet is a new company that was founded by a small group of scientists to create applications that service the scientific research environment. InterSCInet's unique online architecture was designed to accommodate the rapid shifts in laboratory personnel. Members can be added or removed from any application and be given different levels of access, depending upon their roles in the group. When a member leaves one laboratory, they can simply be removed from their old group and be given access to their next group's system. Being able to be a member of multiple laboratories also allows users to more easily maintain ties or collaborations from afar.
Given the company's expertise in scientific research, database modeling and online application designs, InterSCInet also customizes applications for research laboratories and facilities.
In the first year of operations, InterSCInet has completed development of their first application and successfully launched it in North America. In addition, various custom applications are currently being developed for academic and industrial customers.
