Pauwels Canada Inc. Is a North American leader in the design and
manufacture of power transformers.
A member of the world-wide Pauwels organization, the plant was
established in 1946 as ``Pioneer Electric``.
Pauwel produces power transformers up to 575 MVA, 500 kV class,
auto transformers to 450 MVA, and mobile substations. Pauwels
Canada Inc. is a world leader in the design and manufacturer of
HVDC converter transformers.
On going improvement of product technology and optimal service
remain key objectives.
Pauwels Canada manufactures to NEMA, ANSI and CSA Standards.
The plant was the first Canadian transformer plant to be
certified to the quality level ISO 9001 and has retained this
certification since 1993.
Pauwels participates in the Canadian Standards Association and
Electro-Federation, and through its head office, in IEC and
Cigré.
