The USAF Special Ops required a high resolution video recording system that would integrate with various sensors including high resolution video and radar. The recording solution was required to include a post mission analysis software allowing users to quickly find, analyze and archive areas of interest post mission. In addition, the system required an on-board user interface for operates to analyze target acquisition prior to completion of mission. The system had to meet various military standards and operate at 30,000 feet in an unpressurized environment. Gatekeeper Systems Inc provided the Viperfish high resolution video recorder with SKYBOSS post mission analysis software. The Viperfish system has been operating on all AC 130 Gunships for approximately 3 years. Gatekeeper was recently awarded a "Form Fit Function" contract to upgrade all Viperfish Systems through Boeing Aerospace.
