The University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) offers 111 different programs in Arts, Science, Business, Education, Nursing, Applied Health Services, and Veterinary Medicine. A world-class biosciences and health research facility on campus is home to scientists from UPEI, National Research Council, and Agriculture - Agri-Foods Canada.
Enrolment in undergraduate and graduate programs has been steadily increasing, standing at 4350 in 2010. Ten percent of students are international. Twenty per cent of first-year students come from outside PEI.
With a legacy of more than 200 years of history, as well as small size and mixed rural/urban environment, UPEI has a distinctive character that combines tradition with leading-edge research and learning opportunities.
