Design is something I have admired from young age. The way type alone can influence what we think and how we feel about what we read. The creativity it opens doors to and the power it has. When the time came to make a logo for my business I thought, as creative as I am, this is not something I can do on my own, I need a real professional to tackle this challenge with me. And that is exactly what I did. I called Simon at Derooted. It helped that we were already friends, but I also liked the uncluttered and uncomplicated simplicity Simon approaches his work with. My logo and my business card is often the first introduction to my brand people get. There is no way to cut corners around that! First impressions are of enormous importance and I am only happy that I chose to call someone who understands the complexity of marketing with few words and great design.
Derooted have put a face on my business. As a photographer, it€™s difficult to separate my work from my life and the way I represent my business is the way I represent myself. My logo is not just a playful design, it€™s rooted in my past and deep in my life, it has enormous meaning to me. I find, people are attracted to it initially because it€™s really well done, but they like it more once they get to know me. The design for my branding grew out of communication and I really appreciate the fact that Derooted treats me as an individual and as an artist as well as a brand. The design of my business card, my website, my growing blog and my regular and always changing promo cards is staying true to my brand.
