Dean Group is a privately owned Canadian company with a 34-year reputation for exceeding customer expectations. Located in downtown Toronto and Kitchener, with our Front Line Industrial branch in Mississauga, we are a regional service provider. Our flat-line organizational structure ensures that our clients work only with our experienced consultants in a flexible and time efficient manner, where the decision making process is flexible, creative and quick to reach the top.

As the Dean Group underwent a change of ownership, we consider it relevant to include a brief profile of the holding company and its founder.
Al Saley has been active in the staffing industry in Canada for more than 30 years. He co-founded a recruitment firm in Toronto in 1968 and within a few years, bought out his partners. From this base, Al Saley built several companies that operated in the Toronto and Southern Ontario marketplace, specializing in the temporary and permanent placement of administrative and Information Technology personnel.
The combination of companies under Al€™s control and direction (the Saley Group), which expanded to include DGS Personnel, Pinstripe Personnel, DGS Information Services, Bilingual Plus and Y - R Personnel, represented the largest independent personnel firm in the Ontario market. In 1993, Al sold a controlling interest in the Saley Group to Ecco Personnel (a large public company based in France). Al continued to manage the business in Canada as the country manager.
In 1996, Ecco merged with a large public company based in Switzerland by the name of Adia Personnel and adopted the name Adecco. In 1997, Adecco acquired the balance of Al Saley€™s interest in the Saley Group and merged the former Ecco and Adia operation in to Adecco Canada. Al continued to manage Adecco Canada until December 2000.
In early 2002, Al Saley acquired Dean - Associates, a recruitment firm with an excellent reputation and a 30-year track record. PED Holdings Limited, now operating as the Dean Group, under the direction and ownership of Al Saley and Karen Law, the Dean Group has had more than a 400% increase in sales over the last 4 years.
In 1994, Jon Stungevicius, principal of Bridgespan Inc., joined Al Saley€™s recruitment firm where they worked together for a number of years, specializing in IT consulting, management and recruitment solutions for corporate and public sector clients

Dean Specialty Divisions: The Dean Group€™s model of specialized recruitment divisions is a direct result of management€™s approach to become a valuable business partner for our clients. In 2002, it was determined that as business evolves; becoming increasingly specialized and globally competitive, as a valued staffing partner, we needed to adapt to new expectations, evolving technology and sophisticated, specialized hiring requirements.
In addition to establishing specialized divisions, our management team continued to hire recruitment professionals with expertise in specific markets. These individuals had developed solid reputations for providing excellent service with both clients and candidates and whose business philosophy of respect and professionalism mirrored that of our company.
Drawing from the knowledge of our team, Dean Group integrated some of the best practices and advantages found within larger staffing organizations with a work environment that is personalized, consultative and entrepreneurial. As a result, we are achieving new levels of customer service and success. We proactively source qualified, successful talent on a daily basis. To meet the needs of our diverse client requirements, we remain highly focused; interviewing between 100 – 125 candidates per week.
Currently, we have approximately 25,000 screened and interviewed candidates on our database.
Our 35 years of continuous recruitment enables Dean Group to access candidates that are not found on job boards nor are easily identifiable.
