Founded in 1946, Morrison Hershfield continues to uphold its
reputation as a prominent multi-disciplinary consulting
engineering and management firm. Our focus is on our clients by
providing them with expertise in telecommunications
infrastructure, civil and structural engineering, building science, facilities management, fire - life safety, transportation infrastructure, project - construction management and specialized services in management consulting. Our commitment to international initiatives keeps us at the leading edge of technology,
worldwide. MH operates eleven offices throughout Canada and
the US.
During the firm€™s history, MH has worked on all kinds of
buildings for diverse clients, built highways, railroads and
bridges, helped owners retrofit their buildings/structures and
plan funds for future maintenance/capital work, and provided
decades of service to the Telecommunications Industry. Our
contribution to the Hibernia project is an example of, and
testimonial to, our reputation in offshore structural
engineering. Be it industrial, commercial, institutional,
residential, public or private, domestic or international, our
mandate is to provide services and solutions which will assist
our clients in achieving their objectives in a cost effective,
efficient, professional and friendly manner.
Following the lead of Carson Morrison and Charlie Hershfield,
two of the founding partners, our engineers continue to be active
members of professional organizations, contributing to the
formulation of many major codes and standards. They are
committed to maintaining Morrison Hershfield€™s leadership position by initiating and contributing to conferences, seminars and
technical journals. The result? Our professionals are looked to
for their ability to offer outstanding technical capabilities
and the ability to offer clients an objective, strategic, and
logical solution to their problems.
Morrison Hershfield recognizes that the increased scope of many
major projects, both domestic and international, requires wide
ranging resources from engineering and construction to finance
and strategic planning. As a result, we continue to stress the
importance of partnerships where our skills compliment those of
our partners and where regional expertise brings an advantage to
our clients.
Ensuring that we are continually in the lead, we seek out,
evaluate and ultimately participate in opportunities which will
lead us into the 21st century. As an employee-owned
organization, Morrison Hershfield is committed to the excellence of its employees and the recognition of these employees by their peers. In 1994, the Awards of Excellence program honoring Carson Morrison was introduced. The Awards signify yet another step towards maintaining our standards of excellence.
Over our 60 year history, Morrison Hershfield has earned a
reputation for excellence, professionalism, innovation and
ethics. It is with this culture that we approach each project to
ensure our clients€™ success.
