POS (Position and Orientation System) is a highly innovative system that combines inertial navigation technology with GPS (Global Positioning System) to measure orientation and position in applications such as road profiling and surveying, aerial photography, railroad surveying, and seafloor mapping.
POS retains the best capabilities of both inertial and GPS; its performance characteristics are better than those of either GPS or inertial alone.
Determining absolute position and orientation in a dynamic mode (while the survey vehicle is moving) to the degree of accuracy we offer, had never before been possible. POS technology makes that possible.

Sensor data is collected in a wide variety of sensors such as camera systems, Lidar and SAR systems. Once collected, the user can utilize the Position and Orientation System (POS) to directly-georeference where the image was taken and know exact pitch, yaw and axis of image where it was taken down to centimeter level accuracy.
