Organic Resource Management Inc. is Canada€™s largest provider of vacuum truck services for the collection, processing and recycling of food-related organic residuals. The vast majority of the residuals the Company collects are from customers in the food service, processing, production or retail business and include industrial, commercial and institutional operations. The Company services more than 6,000 customers in Canada, principally in the Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia markets.
The Company's core business is comprised of two distinct elements. The first is the regularly scheduled collection and transportation of food-related organic residuals. The primary sources of these residuals are from grease interceptors and the Company's patented organic resource recovery system ("ORRS") process. Grease interceptors separate excess organic residuals from wastewater discharges to prevent the adverse effect of discharging excessive organic materials into the drainage and sewer systems. These residuals accumulate on a predictable basis and require regular scheduled collection and removal. The ORRS process provides on-site collection of produce and other food-related residuals which are ground into a slurry and discharged into a holding tank.
The second element of the Company€™s business is comprised of managing the recycling of the residuals it collects in the most cost effective and environmentally responsible manner. The Company does this through owned technologies and facilities, as well as through third-party relationships.
The Company believes that anaerobic digestion (€œAD€?) of organic residuals to produce biogas and generate clean renewable energy is the most cost effective and most environmentally beneficial organic waste recycling technology, capable of managing the largest variety of organic residuals. The high energy content of the Company's residuals (fats, oils and grease) significantly improves both the quantity and quality of biogas output from ADs. This makes the Company€™s residuals a highly desirable material to combine with other organic inputs such as livestock manure and source-separated organics from urban residential collection programs.
The Company€™s call center and communications infrastructure, its logistics and fleet management expertise, combined with the significant productivity gains to be achieved by co-digesting the Company€™s residuals with typical agricultural feedstock, makes it an ideal partner for AD facilities.
We are committed to delivering the highest level of customer service, as expressed in our Mission Statement: €œTo be the recognized leader in in both Canada and the United States for the collection, transportation and recycling of food-related organic residuals through a team dedicated to service excellence and environmental responsibility€?.
