With the size and scope of its many contracts, Solios project management group is a highly organized unit with demonstrated performance in bringing projects to completion within the contract schedule and target budget. The company is innovative and has for example worked with the National Research Council Canada (NRCC) over the years and continues to investigate interaction of gas and spray in open spray towers and developed a novel hollow cone atomizer for this application. The company has developed specific equipment and processes applied to aluminum fume treatment and the scrubbing of acid gas such as all-dry, enhanced all-dry, semi-dry or zero water discharge. In the last twelve years, Solios has supplied systems cleaning over 30 million CFM of polluted gas. Projects size range from simple equipment supply to turnkey projects with value up to $30 million.
Solios most recent projects include: 2,000,000 ACFM potline gas scrubbing systems for Alouette and Lauralco Aluminum Smelters in Québec. All-dry scrubbing system for the new aluminum can recycling plant of Alcan in Oswego, New York. All-dry scrubbing systems for the Québec (1,000 TPD), Peel Region-Ontario (400 TPD), Fayetteville North Carolina (600 TPD) and Prince Edward Island (100 TPD). Waste to Energy plants; fabric filter and cooling system on EAF for Hylsa Puebla steel mill in Mexico; fabric filter for a cement kiln for Lafarge in Joppa, Illinois and Paviding, Ohio; fabric filters for cement kilns at Cementos Apasco-Orizaba in Mexico and at Cementos Boyaca in Colombia.
