Chasing ChrisStoiou

CHRIS STOIOU is a compulsive liar, scam and cheat. Borrowed money from me and like everywhere else on the net, doesn't pay his debts. He is currently hanging out in Toronto, although he says he lives in Montreal. He is a gambler and you can find him regularly frequenting Ontario and Quebec poker rooms and casinos. He has a weak spot for Black jack and no limit poker. Stoiou can spin some amazing tales. He presents himself as a successful businessman, who "sold his successful international horse meat business to Cargill" - purportedly for 7 figures, paid him instantly with no paper work via email, because, "that's how Cargill does business". Stoiou also claims to loan hundreds of thousands of dollars via second mortages to homeonwers and commercial property owners ("at 12% interest'). He can show you a photo of his stunning 5000 sq foot loft in old Montreal. Notably, it looks like a pic from a real estate ad. When in Montreal you can find him at the Playground poker room. Stoiou also says that he is so wealthy that when he goes to Vegas, "I don't have to take any money because I have credit... everywhere... It's so great not to have to take cash..." Well, you can only guess at why, truly, he doesn't "need to take cash" to Vegas. He says that his two sons are both "lawyers" - one of them in international business law, and he is soooooo good, that he gets flown around the world in a private jet. You'd think that such a stellar lawyer would have an internet presence beyond a dissolved numbered company? I kid you not this is Chris Stoiou's narrative. Stoiou does admit that he does not have a relationship with his only sibling, his sister. Apparently because she is angry with him about his father's estate... sounds like there is more to the story. Do your homework. There is lots of history and commentary about this guy and the common denominator is that he has ripped alot of people off. Take note of these one off people on forums who defend him.... it IS him! I've learned my lesson. Buyer beware.....

In the early 1990s I was the accountant of a slaughterhouse he ran in Ottawa - Remington Beef. I knew and loved his mother Mary, and I knew Manny (his father). I was even invited to Easter Dinner and Mary and Manny's home on Bruce Farm Drive in Toronto. I know for a fact that his parents worked long and hard in the restaurant business and were moderately wealthy. I also know for a fact that Chris was a predator on his parents, especially his father, he robbed them of hundreds of thousands of dollars in the 8 or 9 months I knew him. His wife and the time was Kathy, she was long-suffering and verbally abused in my presence on several occasions. I know he has no conscience. He is, in my opinion, a sociopath who would steal the pennies of a dead man's eyes. I am in my 70s and I can assure you that I've never known a more disgusting person. I was happy to read that his 2 sons have escaped his reach!! They were nice boys. Anyone who knows him would NOT have ANYTHING GOOD to say about this psychopath.
